Results from the ABPI industry-academic links survey, conducted in 2015, showed that the number of apprenticeships offered by pharmaceutical companies have more than doubled in two years from 2013 to 2015.
All apprenticeships include further study alongside work, often leading to BTEC, National or Higher National qualifications. It may even be possible to study for an Honours degree part time. For more information, see the Apprenticeships page.
As well as apprenticeships, there are numerous entry level jobs within the industry. Although these are likely to be less skilled jobs, often within administrative roles, you will normally receive plenty of on-the-job training, and may have the opportunity to complete further qualifications and develop a career from it.
For more information on the options available at different ages, see the Your career section of this site.
