As someone trying to give careers advice you may be a professional careers adviser, a teacher, parent, spouse or friend. Whatever position you’re in, it’s useful to know a bit about the options available, and where to guide someone for more information.

Most people are not aware of the wide range of jobs within the pharmaceutical industry, and the dynamic nature of the industry means things change quickly, making it hard to keep up. Innovation has changed many of the traditional roles, and has created many new types of job.  Looking through, and directing people towards, the Working in the industry section will provide an insight into the range of jobs available. The Case studies section will help to give an idea of what it’s like to work in the pharmaceutical industry and the career routes people have taken to get into various roles. Using our Student activities​ will help to engage with students and encourage them to start thinking about their future career.
