Making high quality, evidence-based submissions to SMC can mean the difference between successful or very limited access to NHS Scotland for medicines.
This workshop will be delivered by Dr Catriona McMahon, the Lead Industry Member for SMC, and is focused on the specific requirements of SMC. The content has been shaped by the many questions that companies have asked over the years regarding what to do and when. It is specifically designed for staff in pharmaceutical companies who are preparing SMC submissions and the consultancies that are supporting them.
Monday 14 December 2020 - 9:30
Wednesday 16 December 2020 - 12:30
This workshop offers an opportunity to hear:
- How to prepare for submission to SMC
- How to decide what sort of submission to make
- What to expect during the submission process
‘How to prepare and submit to SMC’ has been developed for those who intend to submit to the SMC in 2020/early 2021. Via presentations and open Q&A, attendees will gain deep insight into what makes a good submission to SMC.
Following the workshop, you will receive a FAQ document which will incorporate answers to all of your questions.
The online workshop will be in two sessions running over two different days. Each session will be 3 hours in duration which will include breaks.
Session 1: Monday 14 December from 09:30 - 12:30
Session 2: Wednesday 16 December from 09:30 - 12:30
The focus will be on the 'normal' SMC process, but will also incorporate any information we have about the interim 'lock-down exit strategy' process, to ensure that companies are well prepared.
Please note there is a maximum capacity of 12 for this workshop so places are limited.
